Dogs love balls, we all know that. But, they really love peanut butter too. We found this recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it a go and it was a huge success among our four legged babies. If you are pawrent you will always try to find whats best for your dog and let me tell you; they will appreciate you for this.
For this recipe you will need:
- 2 1/2 cups of Oats
- 3 tablespoon of Honey
- 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of Peanut butter (ORGANIC)
Try to get an organic peanut butter because the popular brands peanut butters have way to many chemicals. Our body doesn’t need those, nor our pets.
1Set a baking sheet or a tray with some parchment paper.
This will help the balls to not stick to the surface. If you don’t have parchment paper, you can use a little of coconut oil to the surface of the baking sheet or tray.
2Add to a bowl the peanut butter, cinnamon and honey and mix all together.
After those ingredients are mixed up add the oats. If the consistency seems to wet, add a pinch more oats.
3Grab a chunk of the batter and roll into balls and place on prepared baking sheet.
Do the same until no more batter remains. I rolled my balls into the size of a golf ball, or maybe a little smaller. I need to make sure we have enough feed our pups 🙂
4Place the baking sheet or tray into the freezer until the treat balls are harden.
You can store these treats in a air tight container in the fridge and they should remain fresh for about 3 weeks. You can also store them in the freezer and they should be ok for up to 3 months.
